These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the chat-ib.com website, its associated subdomains, and any related applications (collectively, the "Service" or "Platform"). By accessing, browsing, or utilizing our free online chat rooms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms. 1. Who Can Use Chatib? (Age & Eligibility Requirements)
Summary: You must be 18 or older to use Chatib. Minors are prohibited and will be IP-banned.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Chatib. By accessing the platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and possess the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction. Any use of the platform by minors is a direct violation of these Terms and will result in immediate IP bans. While Chatib does not currently operate an automated age-verification system, by creating an account or using the Service you make a binding representation as to your age, and we reserve the right to request additional verification or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe a user is under 18.
2. What Are the Chat Rules? (User Conduct Policy)
Summary: Harassment, explicit content, spam, impersonation, malware, and ban evasion are all prohibited.
Chatib aims to provide a community for people to meet and converse anonymously. Maintaining a secure community requires adherence to the following conduct rules. You agree NOT to use the Platform to:
- Transmit, share, or promote content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, or otherwise prohibited by law.
- Distribute explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive material in public chat rooms.
- Engage in unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," or any form of commercial solicitation.
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Chatib administrator/moderator.
- Distribute viruses, malware, trojans, or any other malicious code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of the Service.
- Attempt to bypass our security measures, IP bans, or automated moderation systems, including by using VPNs or proxies to evade a ban.
- Upload, transmit, or facilitate the creation of any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors in any way; Chatib has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and will report violations to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.
Chatib reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to monitor, edit, refuse to post, or remove any content, and to suspend or terminate the access of any user who violates these guidelines. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these rules, please report it using the in-chat reporting tools or by emailing [email protected] with relevant details (room name, username, and a description of the issue) so our moderation team can review and act on it.
3. What Happens to Content You Post? (User Content & Intellectual Property)
Summary: You own your content. Chatib gets a limited license to display it while you use the Service.
The Platform allows you to post, link, store, and share text, images, and other information ("Content"). You retain all ownership rights to any Content you submit. By posting Content on Chatib, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content solely within the context of operating and improving the Service.
You represent and warrant that your Content does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, or any other rights of any person or entity. If you are a copyright owner and believe your work is being infringed, please refer to our DMCA Policy and Section 12 below.
4. What Data Does Chatib Collect? (Privacy & Data Retention)

To operate, secure, and improve the Service, Chatib may collect and retain technical information such as IP addresses, device and browser information, cookies, and chat metadata (such as timestamps and room activity). Chat messages may be retained for moderation, safety, and legal compliance purposes for a limited period. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. How Does Chatib Protect Minors? (COPPA Compliance)
Summary: Chatib is an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 and comply with COPPA.
Chatib is intended solely for users 18 years of age or older and is not directed at children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a user under the age of 18 has created an account or submitted personal information, we will take steps to delete such information and terminate the associated account, and may apply an IP ban to prevent further access. 6. Is Chatib Always Available? (Service Availability & Modifications)
Summary: Chatib is provided "as is" and "as available" with no guaranteed uptime SLA.
We aim to provide reliable real-time messaging, but Chatib is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We reserve the right to temporarily suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice, for maintenance, upgrades, security reasons, or any other reason. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
7. Can My Account Be Suspended? (Account Termination Policy)
Summary: We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations, with or without prior notice.
Chatib may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your access to the Service, with or without prior notice, if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the Platform, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the community. Repeated or severe violations (including attempts to evade an existing ban) will typically result in a permanent IP ban. You may stop using the Service and discontinue your account at any time. Provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to intellectual property, liability limitations, and dispute resolution provisions) will continue to apply after termination.
8. What Is Chatib's Liability Limitation?
Summary: Chatib is not liable for indirect damages, third-party conduct, or service interruptions, to the maximum extent the law allows.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Chatib, its founders, developers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (iii) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content. You agree to indemnify and hold Chatib harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

9. How Are Disputes Resolved? (Arbitration & Class Action Waiver)
Summary: Disputes are resolved through binding individual arbitration where permitted by law, and class actions are waived.
Where permitted by applicable law, you and Chatib agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual action in small claims court. You and Chatib agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be limited to the dispute between you and Chatib individually, and you waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative action. If any part of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms shall remain in full force, and disputes shall instead be resolved exclusively in the courts identified in Section 10.
10. What Law Governs These Terms? (Governing Law)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Subject to Section 9 (Dispute Resolution), any disputes arising from these Terms that are not subject to arbitration shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
